B'day month:)

Birthday month is here. That simply means present from my beloved ones. Glad i celebrated it with so much of joy.

Surprises, meals with people who matter and of course not to be missed the oh so traditional birthday cake. Hhahahah

Was really nice to see those smiley faces during my lunch although it was for a short while. That is all because it was on a weekday!BUMMER! Nevertheless, it was special enough :)

Greener grasses

As the title says...The grass isn't always greener on the other side but is where you water it.. I couldn't agree more to that quote. Now how would i interpret that phrase?

1. Life is always better/attractive/easier the other side but it does not last. Sustaining the comfort is what matters. It might be greener on the other side but if you don't water it, it would dried up and eventually dies.

2. Is about nurturing. You need to keep watering the grass at a reasonable amount of water. Too much, it dies. Too little, it dies. The key here is the amount. Putting a lot of effort does not guarantee you a success but putting the right amount gets you there.

3.if you have chosen this path, don't look back and feel bitter about it. Move forward and make it the greener side. You might never know, this would have been the direction you can blossom.
The other side of the grass might be greener at first but who knows, the competition there is too intense and competing for the basic survival needs might eventually kill them.

4.do not be blinded by the easier way out. The greener side might seem more lucrative but always remember nothing in life comes easy. Easier way out is a faster route to get to whatever you want but it will not come with the experiences you are suppose to endure to get there. Take the longer path, the route less taken by and you would surprise the experiences that come with it. When you are finally there, pat yourself on the shoulder and realise the difference in yourself.

Budget budget!!

Have to promise myself to limit my shopping budget every month. *persistent*!!!

I have also downloaded an app to keep track on my savings. Hopefully i will have a better control of my expenditure. Think it will come to me. Only a matter of time :) DO NOT SUCCUMB TO IMPULSE PURCHASES (muahaha, lets see how long i can last)

Getting to know my working industry more in depth. I get invites to all the major conference. Cool!!! (well not specifically to me, but to my firm)

CNY

This year CNY is quiet. Mostly because all my friends are outstation. If they are not outstation, they would be busy with their relatives. At least this is how it would be for the first two days:) My family don't practice the visiting too early. That means homey time !!

After the first few days, it was all about playing cards and gambling. Hahah.. So much of joy when playing it with friends who matters. The 'kan cheong' ness when your cards are at the losing end sorta give you that adrenaline rush.

Anyhow, i lose and win some.That is how it always is every CNY. Hey i dun bet big so i guess, i don't feel the pinch so much. Heheh

After the long stretch of holiday, time to get back to work * drag asses to office* :/
